Subject:                     Switch Over to UBL for Banking Services

 

The Institution is switching over to Unite Bank Limited for provision of banking services from 1^st August, 2005. As a result of the same the contribution collection and pension disbursement functions shall be performed by designated branches of UBL. The lists of the branches were communicated to you vide our letter No. HO/B&C/2005/577 dated 29. 06. 2005.

 

UBL shall also disburse arrears of pensions from 1^st January, 2005 to those who were drawing less than Rs. 1,000/-. We are confident that by now you must have mobilized your teams to visit the branches of UBL and HBL for acquaintance and smooth transition. To further facilitate the pensioners and employers the following actions must be taken: -

 

1.   Officers and Staff members of the Institution must be deputed to visit Bank Branches to redirect the pensioners and employers from HBL to UBL and to facilitate the pensioners to get their pension smoothly.

 

2.   Pensioners may be advised to bring a copy of their CNIC on their next visit to facilitate updating of pensioners database.

 

3.   In case a pensioner wants to switch over to another UBL authorized branch his particulars may be obtained on the enclosed proforma and sent to us by 10^th August, 2005 for adjustments.

 

4.   List of 40 branches of HBL, where no UBL branch exists nearby is also enclosed. (Peshawar, Islamabad, Hyderabad, Multan, Faisalabad and Quetta Zones)

 

5.   An officer must be deputed in each of these branches to help out the pensioners to choose a UBL branch of their own choice in the vicinity to get their pension. These officers must invariably collect complete postal addresses of all pensioners collecting their pension from these branches on the enclosed proforma to enable us to allocate them to the UBL Branches of their choice or make any other arrangement.

 

6.   HBL has agreed to disburse pension in these branches for another month (August,2005), the pensioners should be advised to get their pension from any authorized UBL Branch of their choice from the next month.

I am sure that all efforts shall be made by each employee of the Institution to facilitate the pensioners in transition to UBL.
