It is a pleasure to inform that Dialup Internet Accounts have  been created with 200 Internet hours for each Zone/Region.  All the Zones and Regions would now be having an E-mail address as well. The same are mapped with Web Domain of EOBI (i.e. eobi.gov.pk) and made more user friendly via web based E-mail Communication System.  The list is placed as annex.

 

     The Institution has provided the above facilities to implement the E-mail Communication System to facilitate quick transfer of collection of data from employers to build up ledger account of Insured Persons.  All the Zones/Regions are encouraged to use Internet facility in order to build effective communication between Head Office, Zones, Regions, Employers/Employees and other External Agencies as already communicated through circular Nos. 10, 25, and 27 dated August 6, December 18, and December 21, 2002 respectively. In this scenario, the Chairman expects you to obtain the information of Employees/Employers through e-mail and provide reliable information to stakeholders in shortest time frame.  It is hoped that the collection for the preceding year in the present format for verification of contribution for quick process of pension cases shall be collected as quickly as possible.

 

     In order to share computing resources, the EDP Division has already provided new Pentium-4 PCs. These machines are equipped with all necessary devices to support Internet environment. Particulars of your e-mail address and dial up internet account would be dispatched separately.

 

      To protect computer from virus and avoid misuse of Internet, the Zonal/Regional Heads and DEOs are made custodian of these Internet Accounts.  Password pertains to your region would be communicated through telephone. However this password could be changed at the web site of M/S Paknet i.e. (www.paknet.com.pk). Presently this activity is deactivated by the vendor, as Paknet is upgrading its system.  Hopefully within 15 days of time the same would be activated.

  

     Further, to secure your internet hours from computer hackers, these accounts are braced with CLI facility. Kindly provide maximum 3 different telephones numbers for the activation of CLI facility.

 

   Hope this mean of communication would ease interaction between Head Office, Division/Wings/Zones/Regions, substantially reduce mailing cost and facilitate you to acquire data electronically from stakeholders.
